When does the tour start?

Start time can vary depending on the season and when it gets dark, but it's usually (hike will last 2.5 - 3 hours).

Please check our calendar for start times. For safety reasons, The Berkeley Haunted Hike will run only if we have two guests minimum. Refunds, alternative dates or an alternative (less creepy and discounted) tour will be offered if we cannot run the Haunted Hike due to low ticket sales. Tickets for each tour will be available until 5 hours before the tour to give us time to notify guests if we did not reach the minimum.

Where is the meeting point?

Outside of the Bakar Ingenuity Hub at 2630 Bancroft Way in Berkeley near the silver letters and benches. Please do not disturb the staff and students in the Bakar Ingenuity Hub.

Where does the tour end?

East of Clark Kerr Campus, near Sports Lane. You can park near Dwight Way and Sports Lane if you do not want to walk 15 minutes to get back to the starting point.

What should I bring/prepare?

Wear long pants, close toe shoes with thick soles, a flashlight, water. You are welcome to bring paranormal investigation apps and equipment as long as they are not too disruptive to the tour.

Can I bring children to the tour?

This is not appropriate for children under 15. We will be discussing some mature themes.

Can I bring a dog or other animal?

For safety reasons, animals are not allowed on the tour.

How strenuous is the tour?

This is a modestly strenuous tour. We will walk at a brisk pace for 2.5 to 3 hours and we will be going up modest hills, up stairs, on uneven ground with dirt, rocks, plant debris and other items. A couple of breaks will be taken so please let us know when you need a short rest.

Will there be breaks for rest or the bathroom?

We will take short breaks along the way. It is best to use the restroom before the tour starts. There are some businesses along the way, but we cannot guarantee they will allow our guests to use their restrooms.

What is your refund policy?

We can issue refunds if requested at least 24 hours before the tour. If we need to cancel due to low ticket sales, inclement weather or other reasons that make running the tours unsafe or unfeasible, we will issue refunds or offer alternative dates. If you are sick, we can offer refunds or postpone the tour even if you give us less than 24 hour notice.
